Certificate in Italian CELI – Learn Italian in Italy
Certification in the Italian language
Solemar Academy can administer the exams for the Certification in the Italian language issued by the University for Foreigners of Perugia. The CELI exam is recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Why is taking the CELI important?
The CELI is important for many reasons. For one, it is a requirement for foreigners who want to enroll in an Italian university (CELI 3). It is also essential for those who must apply for a long-term residence permit (CELI 1 or CELI Immigrants 1). It is also a very useful tool for getting into the Italian labor market. It can also be a point of personal pride to demonstrate your level in the Italian language.
Why choose CELI?
In Italy, there are four different Italian-language certification centers: the University for Foreigners of Perugia (CELI), University of Siena (CILS), Dante Alighieri Society (PLIDA), and University of Rome 3 (ROMA 3). All of them are based on the Common European Framework, and therefore the contents and framework of levels across the various certifications are quite similar. The main difference is that the CELI and CVCL with University for Foreigners of Perugia are the only Italian institutions attached to the European ALTE organization. This organization requires very high quality standards, and all CELI are constantly monitored to ensure uniformity in both the drafting and the final evaluation. To give you some idea, the ALTE covers some of the most important certifications in Europe: Cambridge Exams, Goethe Institute certificates, and DELF Certifications.
